Ibuprofen
Indications/Uses
Fever, relief of mild to moderate pain eg, toothache, headache, post-op pain, rheumatic disease.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Rhelafen Childn > 7 yr 2 tsp, 3-7 yr 1 tsp, 1-2 yr ½ tsp. Rhelafen Forte Childn > 7 yr 1 tsp, 3-7 yr ½ tsp, 1-2 yr ¼ tsp. All doses to be taken 3-4 times daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take immediately after meals.
Contraindications
Active peptic ulceration, 3rd trimester of pregnancy.
Special Precautions
1st trimester of pregnancy, lactation. Childn <1 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, vomiting, GI disturbances, diarrhoea, abdominal pain, skin rash.
